Altar & Rosary Society
St. Gertrude Altar & Rosary Society is made up of women in the parish who are dedicated to keeping the altar linens clean and in good shape. Each month different ladies of the parish sign up to take on this worthy task. Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall Room 2. Some of the activities that the ladies take on are baking goodies to sell at the Knights of Columbus BBQ during the months of Jan., Mar., May, July and Sept. They collect food for the Food Pantry each month and they collect clothing and other items for the Raindrop Room for Child Protective Services each December. If you are interested in joining this dedicated group of ladies, they would be happy to have you as part of their ministry to St. Gertrude Parish. Contact Diana Zavala for more information.

Our Patroness
Our Lady of Good Counsel God of heavenly wisdom, You have given us Mary, Mother of Jesus, To be our guide and counselor. Grant that we may always seek her motherly help in this life And so enjoy her blessed presence in the life to come. O Mother of Good Counsel, Patroness of the National Council of Catholic omen, intercede for us, that we may be wise, courageous and loving leaders of the Church. Help us, dear mother, to know the mind of Jesus, your son. May the Holy Spirit fill us with reverence for God’s creation, and compassion for all God’s children. May our labors of love on earth enhance the reign of God and may God’s gifts of faith and living hope prepare us for the fullness of the world to come. AMEN.
